Nature EdVentures LogoThe Metro District offers a variety of programs to foster responsible stewardship of the environment and our community. These programs offer youth and adults hands-on learning opportunities and encourage viewing our environment in a respectful manner.

Throughout the year, the Metro District’s park rangers and staff offer programs that emphasize education and stewardship of the parks and open space areas in Highlands Ranch. Nature programs and presentations are also available to groups and schools. For more information or to schedule a park ranger to visit your organization, please call the Metro District’s Recreation Services staff at 303-791-2710.

Mysterious Full Moon Hike

 

A bright full moon behind a silhouetted tree.Ghost bat, Witch fish – it seems like some animals were made for Halloween! Join a park ranger for a stroll around Fly'n B Pond and learn about some ghoulish creatures. Drink hot chocolate and hear spooky, fun stories of the unique critters that adapt to the nighttime and call Highlands Ranch home. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Registration for Nature EdVentures programs is required at least one week in advance.

Fee: Resident: $15     Nonresident: $18
(Discounted group rate available for 3 or more.)
