A great deal of work was accomplished in July, and the Metro District is still planning a fall opening of the building with a ribbon cutting tentatively scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25.
Exterior finishes are wrapping up as masonry, tile and metal panels are being installed. The roof is complete as the crew is finishing installation of snow bars on the metal roof. Exterior soffits and lighting fixtures are being installed, and the ceiling in the covered entry and patio is in progress. Interior finishes continue as the last drywall section has been installed and final finishes and painting are underway. Restrooms are being completed with installation of fixtures. The ceiling in the multipurpose room is being put up with light fixtures to follow.
The gap in the concrete trail has been connected, so final grading adjacent to the trail and parking is underway which will allow landscaping of this area to begin. Final grading and site work around the building is on hold as exterior finishes are being wrapped up. When they are complete, final grading, concrete and landscape will begin around the building.
