Fourth of July Fireworks

The Highlands Ranch Metro District is proud to partner with the Highlands Ranch Community Association and Douglas County to bring our community a spectacular fireworks show at Highland Heritage Park. Attendees may purchase food from a variety of food trucks or bring food , blankets, lawn chairs and handheld umbrellas into the event. The fireworks display begins at approximately 9:30 p.m., with the timing contingent on weather conditions and fire bans. Admission is free and open to the public.

Grills, on-site cooking, drones, fireworks of any kind and unauthorized vendors are not allowed. We respectfully request leaving pets at home.

We encourage attendees to consider biking, walking, or ridesharing whenever possible, as parking is limited at the park.

Important items to know about the show:

  • The fireworks display is weather- and fire ban-dependent.
  • The firework fallout zone will be marked and fenced. It is very important to stay out of the firework fallout area. There will be no guests allowed at the park the day before the fireworks event on July 3 from 9:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. the morning of the fireworks event on July 4. After the July 4 fireworks event, guests will not be permitted in the park through July 5 at 8 a.m., as the park will be a fallout zone. Even if the show is not actively launching, there is always a potential for a misfire, so it is considered active from the time the first firework is on-site until a dud-hunt can be conducted to ensure no live fireworks remain on site. Please do not go beyond any fencing or signage as it is extremely dangerous.

This event is a partnership between the Highlands Ranch Metro District, the Highlands Ranch Community Association, and Douglas County.
