Skyhawks Sports Camps

Registration for Skyhawks programs will be accepted until camp is full or seven days before the camp starts.

Skyhawks provides a safe, fun, non-competitive environment to teach sports to children ages 4 to 14. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports and ensure they walk away with a smile on their face wanting to learn more. Our knowledgeable and patient staff use a variety of games and activities to give each athlete an overview of the sport while building valuable skills. Since 1979, Skyhawks has taught over two million boys and girls Life Skills through Sports, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship.

 

 


 

Ages 4-7
Mini-Hawk (Baseball, Basketball & Soccer)

This baseball, basketball, and soccer program gives children a fun and positive first step into athletics. Through games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace.

Participant-to-coach ratio: 8:1
Gear to bring: Appropriate clothing, water bottle, running shoes and sunscreen
Food to bring: Two snacks and water bottle
Included with purchase: T-shirt, ball and merit award

Ages 5-9
Beginning Soccer

The #1 camp for learning the fundamentals of the soccer. Using our progressional curriculum, campers will gain the technical skills & sport knowledge required for that next step into soccer.

Participant-to-coach ratio: 14:1
Gear to bring: Appropriate clothing, shin guards, soccer or running shoes and sunscreen
Food to bring: Two snacks and a water bottle

Ages 5-9
Cheerleading

Skyhawks Cheerleading teaches the essential skills to lead crowds and support the home team. Each cheerleader learns proper hand & body movements and jumping techniques. The week concludes with a choreographed performance.

Ages 5-9
Golf

Campers will learn the fundamentals of swinging, putting, and body positioning. Using the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system, we have simplified instruction so that young players can make an effective transition onto the golf course. All equipment provided (we use oversized golf clubs and golf balls weighted like real golf equipment).

Flag Football

Campers learn skills on both sides of the football including the core components of passing, catching and defense – all in a fun and positive environment.  The week ends with the Skyhawks Super Bowl!

Outdoor Basketball

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. An active week of passing, shooting, dribbling, and rebounding makes this one of our most popular programs. Our basketball staff will also focus on respect, teamwork and responsibility.

Capture the Flag

You know it from playgrounds, backyards and family get-togethers. Your young athlete will learn strategy in addition to the rules of the game while we incorporate sportsmanship and teamwork into this action packed camp. Track & Field

Skyhawks Track & Field combines technical development, fundamental techniques, and safety with a major focus on fun. Using special equipment, our staff cover the fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching and cool-down techniques.

Lacrosse

Lacrosse combines basic skills used in soccer, basketball and hockey into one fast-paced game. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment.

Participant-to-coach ratio: 12:1
Gear to bring: Appropriate clothing, athletic shoes, mouthpiece, protective gloves, helmet with full mask (or goggles for girls lacrosse), lacrosse stick and sunscreen. *Limited lacrosse kits available for online rental. The fundamental skills of volleyball are taught through game-speed drills and daily scrimmages that focus on passing, setting, hitting, and serving. This coed program is designed for the beginning and intermediate player.
