Metro District Elections

The Highlands Ranch Metro District holds director elections in May of even numbered years. Registered voters who live in or own property in the Highlands Ranch Metro District may vote in these elections.  They may vote for candidates in any region regardless of the region in which they live or own property. To be eligible to run for an open seat you must reside within the region open for election.

The next Metro District director election will be held May 5, 2020.

The following Board seats are up for election. These seats will be for a three year term.

  • North Central Region
  • Northeast Region
  • Southwest Region

The following candidates are running for the following seats on the Highlands Ranch Metro District Board of Directors. Names appear in the order of the lot drawing and the order they will appear on the ballot.

Returning absentee ballot applications

There are several ways for voters to safely return their signed absentee ballot applications to the Metro District during COVID 19 concerns:

  1. U.S. mail – the address is on the application.
  2. Fax – the number is on the application.
  3. Drop off at the Metro District office at 62 W. Plaza Drive:
    1. Through the door to the receptionist, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Ring the bell to the right of the door if you need to get our attention,
    2. In the drive-by water bill drop-off box which is disinfected at least daily.
    3. Through the slot just to the left of the front door.
  4. Email to: cmitchell@highlandsranch.org, which is on the application.
