Free Fitness in the Park

Soak in the benefits of nature this summer while participating in any of the Highlands Ranch Metro District’s free outdoor fitness programs. We partner with studios and instructors in the community to offer programs in our parks.

  • Registration is not required
  • All classes are weather permitting

Yoga in the Park 

Saturdays, May 27 to Sept. 2 (no classes June 10 & 24)
8:15 – 9:15 a.m.
Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Boulevard
Ages 18+
Presented with NamasteWorks Yoga + Wellness

Back for its ninth year, this popular program draws a crowd to Civic Green Park each summer for free sessions full of poses for every skill level. Yoga in the Park is geared toward the beginner yogi, but modifications will be offered to make each exercise more intense. Led by seasoned instructors, participants are guided on a journey that starts with a grounding meditation, a yoga movement practice and a nourishing drop into the Earth for reflection.

Participants should arrive a few minutes early to complete a waiver form. Please bring a yoga mat, sunscreen and a water bottle.

Pilates in the Park 

Tuesdays, June 6 to Aug. 8 (no class July 4)
8 – 8:45 a.m.
Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Boulevard
Ages 8+ (please no babies or toddlers, children who can participate are welcome)
Presented with IM=X Pilates Studio

Pilates in the Park is open to all experience levels and can help participants increase strength, stability and toning.

Participants must complete a waiver form. Please bring a yoga mat, sunscreen and a water bottle.

Young Yogis in the Park

Fridays, June 2 – 30
Northridge Park, 8800 S. Broadway
Presented with Young Yogis

10 – 10:45 a.m.  Young Yogis in the Park
Ages 6-12
Young Yogis in the Park is kid inspired and beginner friendly. Drop in to breathe, laugh, stretch and bend. Ages 5 and younger are welcome with a caregiver. Parents are welcome to stay and play.

11 – 11:45 a.m. – Teen Yoga in the Park
Ages 12-17
New this summer, Teen Yoga in the Park is a perfect complement to any athletic endeavor or a wonderful opportunity to plug-in to one’s self for just a few minutes. Beginner-friendly, this will teach  you all you need to know, each week adding on to your experience and preparing you to practice in a yoga studio with confidence someday.

Please bring a yoga mat or beach towel, sunscreen and a water bottle.
