Free Fitness in the Park

Soak in the benefits of nature this summer while participating in any of the Highlands Ranch Metro District’s free outdoor fitness programs. We partner with studios and instructors in the community to offer programs in our parks.

  • Registration is not required
  • All classes are weather permitting

 


Yoga in the Park 

Saturdays, May 25 to Sept. 7 (no classes June 8, June 22 or Aug. 24)
8:15 – 9:15 a.m.
Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Boulevard
Ages 18+
Presented with NamasteWorks Yoga + Wellness

Back for its eleventh year, this popular program draws a crowd to Civic Green Park each summer for free sessions full of poses for every skill level. Yoga in the Park is geared toward the beginner yogi, but modifications will be offered to make each exercise more intense. Led by seasoned instructors, participants are guided on a journey that starts with a grounding meditation, a yoga movement practice and a nourishing drop into the Earth for reflection.

Participants should arrive a few minutes early to complete a waiver form. Please bring a yoga mat, sunscreen and a water bottle.

 


Pilates in the Park 

Tuesdays, June 4 to Aug. 13 (no class July 2)
8:15 – 9 a.m.
Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Boulevard
Ages 8+ (please no babies or toddlers, children who can participate are welcome)
Presented with IM=X Pilates Studio

Pilates in the Park is open to all experience levels and can help participants increase strength, stability and toning.

Participants must complete a waiver form. Please bring a yoga mat, sunscreen and a water bottle.

 


Young Yogis in the Park

Fridays, June 7 – 28
Presented with Young Yogis

All classes have concluded for 2019.

 


Martial Arts in the Park 

Once a month: May 30, June 27, July 25, Aug. 5, and Sept. 28
9 – 9:45 a.m.
Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Boulevard
Ages 6-12 and 12-17 (separated into two groups; younger children allowed with an adult)
Presented with Competitive Edge Mixed Martial Arts of Highlands Ranch

Martial Arts in the Park is open to all experience levels.  Instructors teach character development in combination with fun and fitness. Warm up with stretches before learning martial arts moves involving kicks and punches in the air.

Participants must complete a waiver form. Loose clothes such as shorts or sweats and a T-shirt are recommended. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
