Summer Baseball League

The Metro District’s summer baseball programs are geared towards the recreational through advanced level ball player. Our leagues focus on developing fundamentals, learning rules, game play/strategies, meeting new friends, and having fun. Volunteer coaches needed!

Registration Team Registration – Saturday, Feb. 13 through Friday, April 1.
Individual Registration – Saturday, Feb. 13 through Friday, April 1.
All program registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis or until leagues are full.
Wait lists will apply once leagues are full or after the registration deadline.
Late fees – A $15 late fee will apply after the registration deadline.
Equipment Players must provide running shoes or rubber cleats and a softball glove.

Baseball & Softball Clinics

The Metro District is proud to offer a skills and pitching clinic in association with Diamond Club Training. Diamond Club operates its own facility as a national affiliate of America’s Baseball Camps and is the home of the Colorado Rockies fall scout team. Diamond Club Baseball camp directors are experienced professional instructors with years of playing and coaching experience at the professional and/or college level. They supplement their staff with current college players and elite high school players who have come through their system.

Required equipment: glove, bat, helmet, hat and water bottle. Players should wear shorts, sweats or baseball pants and cleats.

Skills Clinic
Ages 6-14

Skills clinic features: Defense – outfield and infield play, catching fundamentals, footwork, balance, throwing mechanics, preparation and glove work. Hitting – balance, rhythm, timing, bat speed, power, mental approach and more.Register Online Now

Summer Baseball Camps

Fall Competitive Baseball League

Team registration required

This is a competitive baseball league for above average to advanced teams only. Games are played on Sundays. Practices are once a week on a shared field. Season has eight games plus a single elimination tournament. Season begins the week of August 1, and games begin August 14.

Registration will begin on Monday, June 13. Team registration deadline – Monday, July 18

Team fee:  max no. of players/team: 13
 7-8 year olds  $1,500 per team
 9-14 year olds  $1,620 per team

Umpire Training – Youth Baseball & Softball

The Highlands Ranch Metro District is seeking qualified umpires for the 2016 baseball and girls softball seasons. The Metro District is partnering with the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) to bring umpires a more dynamic training opportunity. Includes training on the field and in the classroom.

Fee $42 (includes three hours of rules training and three hours of field training, plus a softball and baseball rule book.)
