Healthy Steps Walking List

Looking for someone to walk with and can’t seem to find anyone? Submit your name to the free Healthy Steps walking list and get in touch with other walkers who are looking to find a regular walking partner.

The Metro District offers the Healthy Steps program to get you on the trail to a more active lifestyle. Maybe you’ve heard the guidelines about walking 10,000 steps per day. How far is 10,000 steps anyway? The average person’s stride length is approximately 2.5 feet long. That means it takes just over 2,000 steps to walk one mile, and 10,000 steps is close to five miles. Register now and you will receive a pedometer, log book, walking suggestions and a Highlands Ranch Outdoors Map & Guide that shows all of the great trails and parks where you can log your steps. You will also be able to connect with other walkers through our optional walking partner list.
