Public Works
The
Metro District is responsible for the design and construction of much of the
infrastructure in Highlands Ranch. Facilities like four and six-lane
arterial roads, traffic signals,
storm drainage facilities and stream channel stabilization projects are the
responsibility of the Metro District's Public Works staff. The approved zoning
document for Highlands Ranch has enabled the Metro District to estimate the
scope and cost of infrastructure to serve the community.

In addition to providing infrastructure, the Metro
District's Public Works staff also cooperates with regional agencies like the
Douglas County Public Works Department, the Colorado Department of Transportation
(CDOT) and the Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) to coordinate other
transportation projects and services. Click here
